Bio

Wei Wang, Professor of the School of Physics and Technology, Wuhan University, the obtainer of the Natural Fund for Outstanding Youth in China. He went to the Department of Astronomy, Nanjing University, obtained the BS in 2000. He got his Degree of Master in 2003 at National Astronomical Observatories of CAS, and the PhD at the Max-Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics/Technical University of Munich in 2007. In 2007, Wei Wang joined in the National Astronomical Observatories as a faculty, and became a Professor since 2014. In 2017, He became the Professor in Wuhan University. Wei Wang has international collaborations, and visited frequently Hong Kong University, Max-Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. He has published more than 60 refereed papers. The main research interest concentrates on high energy astrophysics, neutron stars, pulsars, magnetars, X-ray binaries, supernovae, supernova remnants, gamma-ray astronomy, nuclear astrophysics.
