Bio

Wei Shaowen is a professor in the School of Physics of Lanzhou University and a doctoral tutor. He graduated from the School of Physics of Lanzhou University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree; in 2012 he received a doctorate in theoretical physics and stayed in school. In 2014, he won the first excellent doctoral dissertation of Gansu Province, and in 2016, he won the first prize of the excellent thesis of young scholars of the Chinese Society of Gravity Mechanics. From 2018 to 2019, he conducted an academic visit in the research group of Professor Robert B. Mann of the University of Waterloo in Canada. He is mainly engaged in the research on the thermodynamics of black holes and their strong gravitational effects. He has published more than 70 articles in Phys. Rev. Lett., Phys. Rev. D and other magazines, and has been cited more than 2000 times.
